Global Director of Ecosystem · Rhombus

I build ecosystem engines that turn partners into pipeline.

I lead global ecosystem at Rhombus, where 65+ integrations turned a camera company into a platform. This site is my working notebook on why ecosystems are the most underrated growth lever in enterprise software — and how to build one.

About

I started on a retail sales floor, learned to scale a channel program from zero at a Series-stage startup, and have spent the last five years at Rhombus turning it from a hardware camera company into a connected platform powering 65+ enterprise integrations.

My edge is the unusual overlap: technical depth on the platform side, and commercial discipline on the partnership side. I sit comfortably in an enterprise deal, an engineering review, and a partner QBR — and I can own each conversation end-to-end.

These days I spend most of my time on one question: how do you make a platform something other companies want to build on? The Playbook is where I write down what's working.

How I think

A few working principles — the kind of thing I'd say if we were 20 minutes into a coffee.

  1. 01

    Ecosystems are products, not logos.

Most partnership programs optimize for logo count. The ones that work optimize for partner productivity. I've never seen a top-tier ecosystem built by counting logos.

  2. 02

Channel is a discipline, not a launch.

Recruiting 350 partners in a year is easy. Activating 350 partners is hard. The work is the activation layer — enablement, deal-reg, integration depth, joint QBRs.

  3. 03

Commercial thinking is a multiplier in engineering.

The biggest unlock at Rhombus was getting engineering to think about what 'good' looks like for the partner. Velocity × quality × partner experience.

  4. 04

Most platforms fail at the API layer.

APIs that don't anticipate the partner's product surface create support debt. I treat the integration doc like a product surface, not a developer afterthought.

  5. 05

    Partner-led is a culture, not a department.

An ecosystem function fails the day it becomes the only team that cares about partners. The job is to make sales, product, and engineering each see partners as their own leverage — then get out of the way.
